How much does it cost to save a life? No one can truly put a value on that, but that’s part of what we do here at Who Needs Instructions … we save men’s lives.

Surely that’s already enough to encourage you to get involved, isn’t it? If not, then let me convince you some more. If you’re a man in the UK, you are 3 times more likely to die by suicide than if you were a woman!

 

Male loneliness is a huge factor. too 15% of men don’t have any close male friends and that figure is rising. Our egos get in the way, society makes us feel like we can’t reach out and Who Needs Instructions wants to change that. We want to create a community of men who talk… and not just about football or rugby.

There are vast inequalities in positive health outcomes depending on if you're a man or a woman. Men are twice as likely as women to die prematurely from cardiovascular disease, lung cancer, liver disease and accidents too. The odds are really stacked against us fellas.
