Well, that was unexpected. I knew I was up for an award. To be honest that felt like enough. But, I only went and bloody won it! 🎉 🙌🏼
The awards were hosted in London on Thursday 22nd February by Wellity, a company I admire greatly. I was invited but couldn't make it along due to prior work commitments. I assumed I wouldn't win as I wasn't able to attend (call me cynical), but I have been proved VERY wrong.
I was in the pub when the news came through via LinkedIn - and no, the irony isn't lost on me!
For me, this is proof that what I'm doing is essential. To be recognised on a national scale is justification for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, with a huge amount of support from my network of amazing associates and friends.
Now, I'm not about to turn this into an acceptance speech, don't worry... but this sort of work doesn't get done alone. And without a group of men engaging with me, I wouldn't have any work to do. So, to all the guys who get what I do, and to all the guys who will understand it in the future.... THANK YOU!
